Populonia
Populonia or Populonia Alta is a village and frazione of the comune of Piombino situated on the west coast of Italy. Populonia is noteworthy for its Etruscan remains which include one of the main necropoles in Italy and extend over a large surrounding area, much of which is now within the Baratti and Populonia Archeological Park. The Archaeological Museum of Populonia in Piombino contains finds from the ancient territory of Populonia.
