Catherine's Cathedral, Yekaterinburg
The Catherine Cathedral was a former Orthodox church in Yekaterinburg, initially built as an adobe church during the founding of the fortress and plant in 1723. After a fire in 1747 destroyed the building, a stone church was founded in 1758 and consecrated in 1768. The church's primary relic was a portion of the relics of Saint Simeon of Verkhoturye, brought to Yekaterinburg in the late 1820s.
